Christmas Cards

After much debating I have finally decided on the card I want to use this year.  It took me a while to decide because I love pictures on our cards but was having a hard time deciding how many or few to use this year. We have had some wonderful pictures taken this year and I wanted to include as many as I possibly could. The card I have decided to use is the  Family Wall Noir Christmas from Shutterfly. I will have to say that Giving Squares and The Tree of Hope were very close contenders when I was deciding.

If sending Christmas cards aren’t your thing be sure to check out some of the other great ways to send photos for your families to enjoy. I also really like Shutterfly’s photo books they are easy to make and make wonderful gifts. They also have calendars and other types of cards that you could use for any occasion.  Another thing that I love about Shutterfly is that they have something called a Share Site which is a great and easy way to share photos with family and friends.

3 Birthdays

Today our little Princess turned 3. We are having her yellow princess party next week with a castle and all. I cannot believe that she is already 3 man how the time flies.

4 Birthdays

Here are pictures from all of Lil Man’s birthdays so far. It is amazing how much he has changed in the past 4 years. He is no longer a toddler but a little boy.

(2 kids + 2 adults) + 1 queen size air mattress =

One very interesting night. On Saturday night our heat went out, it wasn’t too cold so we toughed it out in our beds well last night it was to cold to bear. So we got creative. We have two hid a doors that separate the kitchen and playroom from the rest of the house. We closed both doors, blew up our queen size air mattress, turned on the oven and opened the door and all 4 of us climbed into bed. Needless to say it was NOTHING compared to our california king tempurpedic bed. Daddy Couch and I can barely sleep on a queen size bed together let alone when you add in Lil Man and Baby Girl, who are both HORRIBLE to sleep with. They lay in every direction possible and then some. So tonight we still don’t have heat but got even more creative, we took the kids mattress off their beds and put them on the floor in the playroom and are blowing up the mattress in the dining room once again tonight. The heat guy is coming tomorrow at 3pm, thank goodness.

Backyards are overrated

Who needs a back yard when you have a uhaul truck. The kids had a blast running and sliding in it. They were so messy when they were finished a bath was a must. I’m sure they are going to be very disappointed tomorrow when they see their new playground/backyard is full and no longer enough room for them to play in. At least they enjoyed while they could and it wore them our before bed. 🙂

Really, what makes you think….

So has everyone knows by now we are moving this weekend. And as anyone who as moved its a lot of work, between packing, cleaning, setting up and disconnecting all the services as well as just everyday life. We are in the final days of packing to prepare to load the truck on Saturday. So I called to get all the services switched over and my internet service was shut off, I mean really. I schedule you to start new service at our new address on the 1st what in the world makes you think I want it shut off a week before turning it on at the new house. So after an hour on the phone with ATT they had to set up a new account in order to turn it back on at our current location. No internet is a HUGE problem when you use it has often as we do. It also makes it really really hard to place ads on craigslist to sell some things before moving. Hopefully it will be back on tonight so that I can. I don’t want to move this stuff if I don’t have too.

New Thing – Week 6

Sorry this is getting posted late, I couldn’t find my camera cord to post the pictures.

This weeks new thing isn’t new for me but was new for lil man and baby girl. We were up visitng Nan and Poppa last weekend when it snowed. The kids were so excited to get to play in the snow for the very 1st time. I know its sad they had never played in the snow before but it seemed that everytime it snowed we were somewhere where the snow wasn’t, but not this time. 🙂

Here are some pics of them having so much fun.

Week 5’s Recipe

So I thought I would be all slick and scan in the recipe from the cookbook because I love how Paula Deen includes pictures of everything you are going to need to make the recipe. For some crazy reason my scanner was not being very nice and would not corporate so without the fun pictures here is the recipe(note need to make the night before):

What you will need:
9X13 baking dish
Medium Bowl
Measuring Cups and Spoons
Electric Mixers
Rubber Spatula
2 Small Bowls
Waxed Paper
Oven Mitts
Spoon
Plastic Wrap
Aluminum Foil
Butter Knife
Cooking Spray
2 cans 8-count crescent dinner rolls
16 ounces cream cheese at room temp
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 stick butter
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:
1) Spray baking dish with cooking spray. Open 1 canoe dinner rolls. Lay dinner rolls in the bottom of baking dish so they make one large rectangle.
2) In medium bowl, combine cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla. Mix well with electric mixer, about 2 minutes
3) Using rubber spatula, spread cream cheese mixture on the top of dinner rolls.
4) Open 2nd can of dinner rolls. Lay them over the cream cheese so they make a large rectangle.
5) melt butter in a small bowl covers with wax paper for 30 seconds in the microwave. Pour melted butter evenly over the top of the casserole. In another small bowl mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon with a spoon. Using the spoon, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar evenly over the top of the casserole.
6) cover with plastic wrap and then aluminum foil. Refrigerate Overnight.
7) The next morning, remove the casserole from fridge and allow to sit out 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
8) Remove foil and plastic wrap, place casserole in oven. Bake for 30 minutes, until puffed and firm. Remove from oven and allow to sit for 15 minutes before serving.
9) Cut and serve and most of all enjoy.

If your not a fan of cinnamon and sugar leave it off and try topping it with fruit, I think I’m going to try it this way next time.

Please come back and comment what you think once you’ve made it.
